What are Printables?
Printables are customized, print-ready files, emailed to you with your information and colors in place. These are not templates, and they are not editable. Our fees include design time, proofs, and edits — all made by a professional graphic designer with years of printing and design knowledge. Once you have the print-ready files, you can print your cards at home or take them to a professional print shop to have them digitally printed.
Can my printable be letterpressed or foil stamped?
At this time, printables are only for digital printing. It has to do with how we set up our files. We'd be happy to help you with letterpress printed or foil stamped invitations!
Is there a minimum order requirement?
Our minimum order is $500.
What should I tell my printer about my files?
Our files are locked so that they can't be edited, which may be different from what your printing company is used to receiving (but we're happy to set up locked files according to your printer's specifications). We do this to prevent copyright infringement, which is sadly something we have to consider when selling files of our designs. It's a good idea to talk to your printer about this before purchasing files. We're happy to provide a sample file for you to send to your printer for testing.
Are your designs only for weddings?
No way! We're happy to place whatever text you wish onto the cards.
How do we get started?
You can order directly online, or you can contact us through the site.
Do I have to place an order online?
You can also contact us through the site, and once you're ready to place an order, we will send you an online contract and an invoice for a deposit. If you aren't sure exactly what you're looking for, Ellie would love to talk to you about custom printables and design. Hello Tenfold's studio hours are M-F 10-5 EST.
What is the process for Printables?
Soon after purchasing (in 1-5 business days), Ellie will have digital proofs for you to approve. We'll make changes if needed (1-2 proofs are included in the price). If you paid with a deposit, the remaining balance will be due after you approve your proofs and before you receive files.
How long does the process take?
Our standard turnaround time for proofs on printables is 1-5 business days for the first proof. Edits to your proofs are usually done in 1-3 business days. Rush service is available.
How do I find a printer?
We recommend working with a local printing company when possible, because you may be able to see printed proofs in person. You may want to try to find a shop with an HP Indigo for the best quality digital printing. There are many printer recommendations on inkerlinker.com.
can i print at home?
Sure! It's a good idea to run a test first on the paper you plan to use.
What papers/envelopes/etc should I use?
Talk to your printer before purchasing paper, or find out what type of paper your home printer will take. Some print shops will have papers in stock that they prefer to use, or recommendations for what works best with their machines. Home printers may not be able to print on paper thicker than 80lb, and some digital printing companies will not print on paper heavier than 100lb. Here are a few resources for paper and envelopes:

Will I see a digital proof first?
Absolutely. Once we have a signed contract and deposit from you, we will get started on your stationery proofs. There are 1-2 emailed proofs included with every order, so we'll have plenty of time to get things just right!
Are there welcome booklets (etc) to match my design?
Yes! Although items may not be pictured with each suite, we're happy to create them for you to match the suites on the site at no extra charge.
Can I change colors, fonts, etc?
Color changes are included for free with all orders. We can change fonts and card sizes with an additional fee.
Will the colors look different when I print?
Probably! Screen settings vary, and screens are lighted so colors may appear more vibrant. When possible, ask for a printed proof of your cards first. We are happy to email color swatches so you can see how they will print on your home printer.
Can you match the ink color to my bridesmaid dresses?
Because we will not be doing any print management with your order, we are unable to custom match inks. We are happy to put the files in colors that appear close to your chosen colors on screen, but we can't make any guarantees about how that color will print.
I purchased Printables but now I want printed invitations. Can I switch?
Sure! We're happy to handle printing for you. Just let us know and we'll handle the order changes.
i changed my mind. Can I cancel my order?
If a proof has been made, a design fee will apply. If you have placed an order and need to cancel, please get in touch for details.
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
Because your order is customized for you and your event, all orders are final. Refunds will not be granted for color differences between online proofs and the printed product, or grammatical/spelling errors. If you decide you would like a different design after your 1-2 proofs, additional design fees will apply.
